It is believed that you can become a villain or die as a hero. Christian Bale is now a villain again, this time in Marvel’s Thor: Love and Thunder. An imposing antagonist. The plot follows the comic-book plot and Jane Foster (Natalie Portman) is back. Taika Waititi’s humorous wit is apparent. Yet, Love and Thunder, although a strong standalone film, does not quite perform as well as the previous Thor installment, Thor: Ragnarok (2017).

Thor has been a key element of the Marvel Cinematic Universe for more than a decade now However, his individual films have either been successful or failed to hit the mark completely. While the origins tale of Thor (2011) was good enough to get the ball rolling, Thor: The Dark World (2013) was an awful entry. In the end, Thor: Ragnarok 2017 will surely be on everyone’s list of most-watched five MCU films. The return of the Hemsworth – Waititi collaboration meant expectations were extremely high ahead of the movie’s release.
When Gorr (Bale) and Bale, who wants to end the existence of gods after being cheated by one, decides to striking New Asgard to steal the Stormbreaker, Thor has to stop the god-killer by teaming up with Valkyrie (Tessa Thompson), Korg (Waititi) and his former girlfriend Jane Foster, who has been transformed into Mighty Thor. The plot is straightforward, unlike the Marvel films of recent times and the actors are great in the film. Hemsworth performs well as the character who is going through an identity crisis. Bale and Portman make an impact. The scene that opens the title credits the potential of what Bale can do. Gorr could be the new Thanos in the MCU. Bale adds a sense of eerieness to the role, but there’s nothing else to it.
Portman is Mjolnir’s ex-girlfriend who has cancer. Marvel seems to be eager to hand the mantles of Hawkeye and Hulk to female characters. I had hoped that the Mighty Thor would be similar to the representation checklist. However, the film builds with a touching story behind the astrophysicist who can demonstrate her biceps in more than one scene.
Marvel also has its own doing a variety of appearances. In addition to the Guardians of the Galaxy team as well as Matt Damon, Sam Neill and Luke Hemsworth reprising their roles from Thor: Ragnarok as Loki, Odin, and Thor as well as Thor. There are all these ideas that are presented, but…
There are many movie references like Harry Potter and Interstellar, as well as Easter eggs. There’s a photo of the god of death, Falligar, taken straight from the pages of comics. The first half is reminiscent of the vibrant colors we loved in Ragnarok The majority of the second half takes place in the dark realm , in which everything is black and white. The action scenes that are monochrome are quite enjoyable, it must be noted.
Hemsworth as Thor will be here for a long time However, it’s an enormous relief for MCU people who’ve seen the original Avengers or sacrifice their lives, or hang up their heads.
